nicrecords is a Swiss micro label, which was founded in Lyss in 1992. Some of the productions with the label even date back to 1989. Over the years, it has accumulated a number of singles, EPs and albums. These were released in digital, CDs or vinyl.
The releases concern mainly self-produced Swiss bands, orchestras or interpreters. Since 2003, the label has also been including an increasing number of productions that were made in the former Bern studio, the Caliber Club. The recording studio, now called Caliber Club 2.0., relocated in 2017 and is now located at another address.
nicrecords sees itself as a so-called wholesaler label, in contrast with its sister label Pro Stata Records, Warszawa, Polska, which focuses only on a few unusual bands and interpreters.
